The Jewelry Trend That Will Take You to 2020

Dainty jewelry out, chunky jewelry in.

For the first time in a few seasons, it seems as though our delicate necklaces and simple studs are taking a backseat to the newest trend in jewelry: chains.

We saw them all over the S/S 2019 runways and can now find them in action as they continue to take Instagram by storm. Primarily in gold metal, chains are a nice addition to a chunky knit or a drapey satin cami for a night out. Linked chains are also a popular variation, much like this Missoma London necklace. It draws attention to the universally flattering collar bone without being too gaudy or flashy. And good news! It looks like this trend isn’t going anywhere for a while, so now’s the time to invest.

But have no fear: you don’t actually have to put away your dainty jewels in fear of being out of style. Just layer those pieces on top, as I did here, for a nice balance.
